The Carlton County Farmers' Market was established in 1983 by a group of farmers, bakers, and artisans who wished to sell their products directly to the public. For 30 years, Gramma Polo's Liquor Store in Scanlon, Minnesota, hosted the CCFM in its parking lot Saturday mornings. We thank Gramma Polo and her family for their many years of hospitality.
Today, the market has two locations -- in Cloquet and Carlton.
On Saturday mornings from 9 to noon (8 am setup), the Cloquet Market is located in front of Premiere Theatres at 904 Highway 33 South, next to L&M Supply and just southeast of the Doddridge/Big Lake Road intersection.
On Tuesday afternoons from 4 to 6 pm you'll find the Carlton market at the Four Seasons Sports Complex and Event Center parking lot, 90 Chestnut Avenue, on Highway 210 just west of the town center. We thank the people of this area for their wonderful hospitality.
All vendors live within 50 miles of the Markets and only sell products they have grown or made themselves. We are proud to offer fresh produce and high quality products to local communities and visitors.
As always, the market is restricted to pedestrian traffic, but there is plenty of free parking available at both locations.
